1. In bright sunlight, wear a brimmed hat or sunglasses with UV filters. It does not make much sense to put sunblock on your skin and to leave your eyes unprotected!
2. However the most important nutritional factor for healthy eyes, brain and nerves may be sugar balance as discussed for shelf f3.
3. We do not list eye support formulas because they generally contain too much beta-carotene if adding a multivitamin--and too little B complex if not adding a multivitamin.
4. Therefore we suggest that you take a good multivitamin and simply add basic eye supplements. The most important of these are lutein and bilberry. These are already included in the Life Force Multiples of shelf A.
5. However the Life Force Multiples supply only 2 mg. lutein and 10-15 mg. bilberry. That is a significant amount but it is possible to improve on the quality as well as the quantity. Most people instinctively would never put blueberry jam on top of broccoli. Similarly we feel that lutein and bilberry are best packaged separately, as listed here. Our Super Zeaxanthin Lutein also contains pre-extracted meso-zeaxanthin for greater assurance of effectiveness. (You can still retain the same convenience as with a mixed formula--by mixing lutein and bilberry pills into one bottle. Each day, take whichever one comes out first.)
